Michael J. Didion, CFP®, EA, MBA
Wealth Advisor
Retirement is one of life’s biggest transitions. It can bring along a flood of emotions, like uncertainty, anxiety and hope. But with the proper planning you can have more confidence and excitement about entering this new phase of life called retirement. I founded Didion Wealth Management to help busy families, professionals and business owners plan for and safeguard their retirement. I do this by helping you bring clarity to some of retirement’s most important questions like, “Do I have enough to retire?” And “ Will I run out of money?”.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner, I am legally obligated to act as a fiduciary in advisory relationships. That means I am accountable to you as my client and must put your interests ahead of my own, or anybody else’s. I’m also an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, giving me a sophisticated perspective on how taxes impact all areas of your finances, including your retirement and your investments. Maintaining these certifications through continuing education helps me stay on top of regulatory changes, tax law changes and other factors that may affect all areas of your finances so we can address them as appropriate to your individual situation and plan for your desired retirement.
After over 10 years with a large financial services firm, I decided to start Didion Wealth Management in March of 2022 in Colorado Springs, where I was raised and live with my family. As an independent Wealth Advisor affiliated with LPL Financial, I have the freedom and flexibility to customize my services to your needs which allows me to provide a customized and robust wealth management experience, focused on retirement and tax planning, along with investment management. I received my BA in political science from the University of Northern Colorado and my MBA, with an emphasis in finance, from the University of Colorado. I earned my CFP® practitioner designation through the College for Financial Planning, as well as my EA designation with the IRS.
When I’m not helping clients plan for retirement, I enjoy spending time with my wife Christina, a licensed Esthetician, and our 3 children Vasile, Elise and Michaela. I absolutely love the Pikes Peak region and all it has to offer but I especially love getting up to Summit County to snowboard. Music is another passion of mine. I’m an avid collector of vinyl records and I also play the bass guitar. I enjoy reading, exercising and cheering on my favorite sports teams, the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche.
